Background: Nabweru Sub-county, home to 155,100 people, faces significant socio-economic challenges, including a high poverty incidence of 94.5% among rural populations. Women, who often bear the brunt of these hardships, are disproportionately affected by unpaid labor, lack of financial literacy, and limited access to resources. These constraints hinder their ability to provide basic necessities for their children, leading to cycles of poverty and poor childhood development.

Consequently, women in Nabweru, particularly those heading households, need support to transition from subsistence living to sustainable entrepreneurship. Empowering these women through skills training and access to resources will not only enhance their financial independence but also improve the living standards and developmental outcomes for their children.

Goal: To empower women in Nabweru Sub-county to become sustainable entrepreneurs, thereby improving the quality of life for their children and fostering a supportive community environment.
